Homesick Suni (Matteo Pin) started recording some songs in his bedroom in 2007 and after a few years he moved to Venice and started playing those songs with the Red Shades, inspired by italian garage bands like Vermillion Sands, Tunas and Mojomatics. In 2013, after various self-recorded and self-released albums, the italian label Garage Records released "Cheerleaders & Quarterbacks", which became the end and the new beginning for the project. Matteo played his fuzz driven mantras with the Lay Llamas supporting Goat through the UK, and then in 2017 released his last EP "Appetite for Distraction" and is now working on two new albums, anticipated by the single "My EQ".

Nel 2013, dopo vari dischi registrati in casa e autoprodotti, esce per Garage Records "Cheerleaders & Quarterbacks", un juke-box di pezzi garage sbronzi e bislacchi, che diventa al contempo fine e nuovo inizio per il progetto. Aperta (e chiusa) la parentesi come chitarrista con i Lay Llamas (Rocket Recordings), Homesick Suni presenta l'EP Appetite for Distraction, scritto e registrato in home recording ed è ora al lavoro su due dischi, anticipati dal singolo "My EQ".
